On Tuesday Marcus started Kindergarten! Our little boy is growing up. He even gets to ride the bus to school!

A Busy Week for Mr. Marc

On monday Marcus turned 5! We spent the day with a birthday celebration. He invited all of his friends over for a party which consisted of a talent show, pin the tail on the donkey, a pinata, and an enormous chocolate cake! Later that evening we 'did it up right 'at Classic Skating! Way too much fun was had by all!

The Day Charlie's Best Friend was Gone Forever

2 days ago Charlie hopped on the potty to do his business. And as usual he was pooping with his paci in his mouth. Yes, he's 2 1/2 with a paci and yes, he poops on the toilet. I always tell him "Call me when you're done" but this day he let out a scream that could be heard throughout the neighborhood! I ran in to see what was wrong. The paci was in the toilet! We had to say goodbye for reals this time! We've tried before but Mom (and especially Dad) would always give in. So I had to *flush it down. Bye bye paci. Forever.

*p.s. the paci wasn't actually flushed, if you know what I'm saying. I don't need plumbing problems too.

Remembering an old friend

This past week Marcus has learned how to ride a 2-wheeler bike! He's been practicing for over a year and now he's finally got it.

I knew the day would come when he would have his first crash.

I've been dreading the day because Marc does not forgive easily.

Last night it happened. There were too many factors working against him. The huge rainstorm with extremely loud thunder that brought slippery roads and the sharp turning he insists on doing.

He's now saying we MUST throw his bike in the trash. He seems to think it was the bikes fault! I tried to explain that the road was wet etc... and that even the best bike riders crash! We've all been there and we have to get back on the bike! We will not throw the bike away! I have a feeling he'll try again when this all blows over.

There are people in your life you are SUPPOSED to know

There is this girl...
I'm SUPPOSED to know her.
We find coincidences every time we talk.
She's a beautiful girl with a freckled face.
I met her almost 10 years ago because my best friend was her roommate.
After they moved I didn't expect to run into her time and time again.
She soon became good friends with my little sister after they had a class together at UVSC.
She is also good friends with one of my goods friends from elementary school (how did that happen?)
We even have birthdays a day apart.
We enjoy the same music (Sara Bareilles.)
And she even gave me a deadline to get my first post out.
She's absolutely hilarious, witty and really smart.
All I know is that I'm SUPPOSED to know this girl. And I'm so grateful I do.
